Job Description Interactive Thinker and Developer

Interactive & Flash Developer The Interactive Developer will concept and develop interactive media elements, including flash objects, webpages, graphics, reusable templates, podcasts, and video pieces. You will work closely with Interactive Creative Director, art director, acting as front-end developer to deliver product prototypes and custom client solutions. Projects range from flash driven websites, online tools, gaming and rich media to rapid prototypes for client delivery. You are adept at current Web Standards and will learn anything new to get a job done.

This role bridges the creative and technical aspects of project delivery. With little supervision, you will develop and implement designs according to direction set by the Creative Team. You must be able to collaborate effectively by bridging the “creative” with the “technical” across a variety of platforms and frameworks. Ultimately, the Interactive Developer is responsible for all aspects of presentation layer development including all project related front-end technologies

Primary Responsibilities: • Responsible for designing and developing highly interactive flash applications that include interaction with video and audio • Partner with the team to concept Flash projects including, web sites, online advertising, presentations, games and animation. • Fully optimize web standards to create elements for varying users, bandwidth and platform requirements • Utilize Flash to develop and animate online assets • Work with assets coded with ActionScript 2.0 • Importing sound and video to flash environment • Execute multiple project simultaneously with aggressive deadlines Rapidly produce interim deliverables (such as prototypes, proofs of concept, etc.) in addition to the final site or application. Taking initiative to research and learn emerging technologies

Skills/Requirements At least 4+ years experience hand-coding D/XHTML, JavaScript, CSS 2 and Flash • At least 2+ years experience using ASP, ASP.Net, JSP, PHP or other frameworks used to develop dynamic web pages • Expertise developing and testing across multiple browsers, platforms, DOM implementations, etc. • Experience with XML: XSLT, DTD or Schema modeling, DOM/XPath/SAX parsing • Strong expertise with programming best practices, creating modular reusable code, performing code refactoring. User Interface Design, Information Architecture, graphic design experience a must • ActionScript Animations, Basic knowledge of ActionScript 2.0, • Shared Objects Experience optimizing for Search Engines • Connecting flash to a database and using flash with XML Software Experience Required • Flash 8 (9 a plus) • Dreamweaver 8 • CS2 (Plus) • Video Editing Software, Final Cut (Plus) • Sound Editing Software, Sound Forge (Plus) • 3D Modeling Software, Maya (Plus) • Video Effects Software, After Effects (Plus)
