Description: Industrial Products Sector Analyst 4E Job Description PwCs Marketing and Sales function is a client-focused, high-performing team, which is strategically aligned to the Firms priorities and passionately focused on positioning a distinctive PwC brand in the marketplace and driving long-term revenue growth for the Firm. This role interacts daily with senior level Advisory, Assurance and Tax partners in leadership roles and is responsible for advising the Sector Council leadership on sector trends, competitive forces, and regulatory and compliance issues that will have an impact on the sectors growth potential. The role leads the formal development and analysis of intellectual capital that is used to evaluate business decisions as it relates to the development of the annual strategic plan and areas of focus for thought leadership and marketing activities. Responsibilities Sector Marketing Function: Establish a competitive intelligence function for the sector Develop a formal process for gathering market intelligence on trends and issues with regular analysis and reporting on the impact of the sector business Commission formal research projects to obtain internal and external perspectives on emerging trends and issues (internal resources such as Research & Analysis Group in KSO and external resources such as Gartner/IDC custom study) Build an "analyst relations" program for the sector that includes regular interaction with the analyst community on topics of important. Position PwC "issue rock stars" in the analyst community Development of idea briefs and business cases for sector investments working with investment partner in charge Service IFS Industry Not Applicable Office New York NY Years Experience Required 8+ Education Required An undergraduate degree in marketing or like field (i.e., communications, public relations, etc.) preferred. Consideration would be given to persons with an undergraduate degree in business, finance, etc. Job Requirement Essential A deep understanding of the sector is a requirement for this role; 8+ years of experience in marketing / market analysis and 5+ years experience in the sector. Ability to synthesize large volumes of information and analyze it forming independent conclusions and recommendations for sector leadership. The analyses is the basis for management decision-making.
