Description: Posting Job Title HR Director, CNN - Human Resources TimeWarner Division Turner Broadcasting Industry Advertising Cable/Broadcast Television Networks Online Content/Services Location United States - New York - New York Requisition # 106406BR Position Type Full Time Posting Job Description Qualifications: Bachelors degree (Degrees in Business Administration, Psychology and Human Resources a plus); Minimum 10 years of experience in HR generalist function with a concentration in complex organizational design, succession planning, employee relations, headcount/resource management, recruiting, compensation, benefits, training & policy input and/or development; 5 plus years managerial responsibility for an HR professional staff or related coaching experience required with a demonstrated track record of building strong teams and developing HR professionals; Prior experience working with and influencing senior executives in a major corporation. Business related experience outside of HR a plus; Experience in Broadcasting/Entertainment industry a plus; SPHR or PHR certification a plus. Duties: Partners with key leaders in multiple business units on the development and implementation of key business initiatives. Influence, coach, and advise executives in the creation of organizational goals and competencies that strategically align with the business. Plans and recommends human resources initiatives to build individual and organizational capability. Talent Management :Identify learning solutions to support organizational initiatives. Lead and build organizational and individual capabilities. Partner with PDC Executive Director & Manager to set learning strategy and confirm organizational learning needs. Also, partner on strategic initiatives that support the clients or support PDC initiatives. Actively drive talent management initiatives, i.e., succession planning, executive development. Partner with OD team to secure executive coaches (request for coach, reports, trends analysis). Educate and guide clients on performance management philosophy, process and tools. Coach and advise clients on the development and evaluation of the executive bonus plan (TIP). Partner with VP, Talent Management on diversity action planning and driving the succession planning process. Organizational Development/Change Management: Partner with executive management, to design organizational structures that will support organizational strategy and develop and implement change management strategies to create and sustain a culture of high performance. Partner with Recruiting to develop strategic recruiting initiatives to address organizational resource issues and changes. Responsible for partnering with business unit heads to develop an employment contract renewal strategy each year. Partner with VP of HR to shepherd contacts through approval process and with Compensation to coordinate contract renewal review Leadership/Management: Responsible for managing and developing a staff of human resources professionals, exempt and non-exempt. Develops HR staff capabilities to drive organizational effectiveness and operational excellence. Ensure that staff is effectively partnering with specialists: ER, Comp, LOA, PDC. Responsible for HR headcount planning and may have responsibility for department budget. Oversees and partners with the ER Specialist to ensure matters are handled appropriately.
