Description: %%0A %%0A The HR Business Partner is a member of the global HR team and will be primarily responsible for partnering with their HR counterparts and senior line management to develop and implement the people agenda for the department as well as developing medium to long term strategic plans. They are also responsible for ensuring the delivery of HR operations and services under the new HR model to their business unit as well as working on core recruiting projects. This position will be based out of the NY office and will be responsible for providing HR support to national and/or global businesses. %%0A %%0A Principal Accountabilities%%0A %%0A · In conjunction with the other HR Business Partners, develop and implement a people plan for the business unit that drives its key business objectives.%%0A · Implement key HR strategic initiatives within the business unit.%%0A · Support HR projects within the Business Unit to deliver solutions, which meet identified business requirements, working with the Centres of Expertise as appropriate.%%0A · Implement HR policy at a Business Unit level, tailoring it to fit local business needs whilst ensuring an appropriate level of consistency and compliance.%%0A · Ensure the delivery of quality HR services to the Business Unit, in liaison with HR Support Services and the Centres of Expertise.%%0A · Develop and support line management to develop their people management capability under the new HR operating model.%%0A · Projects manage several core national and global recruiting projects.%%0A · Recruit high level specialist or expert staff within the business unit.%%0A · Maintain a sound understanding of the markets, strategies and operations of the Business Unit in order to identify and provide appropriate HR support.%%0A · Partner with line management to lead and facilitate change, personally acting as a change agent when appropriate, to ensure continued capacity for change within the Business Unit.%%0A · Maintain an up-to-date understanding of HR and legal developments in order to identify potential impacts on the business and suggest options to minimize risk to the organization.%%0A · Travel Required.%%0A%%0A %%0A · Proven track record in delivering business focused HR solutions to senior management teams.%%0A · At least 5 years general HR experience with a minimum of 3 years working at senior management level.%%0A · At least 3 years of recruiting experience providing full life cycle recruiting and rolling out best practice recruiting tools, process and tools.%%0A · Strong consulting, project management, and time management skills.%%0A · Good understanding of the reinsurance market or another financial services market.%%0A · Ability to influence senior line manager and staff to adopt a new HR model.%%0A · Adopts a solution-based approach to address client issues, identifies and implements new solutions which add value.%%0A · Ability to provide intellectual rigor to business decision-making.%%0A · Builds coalitions of support for ideas and policies to enable execution.%%0A · Personal credibility and an ability to influence key stakeholders throughout the organization.%%0A · Seeks external information on best-in-class HR specifically within the Strategic Business Partnership.%%0A · Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills.%%0A · Proven track record in delivering business focused HR solutions to senior management teams.%%0A · Background working with a national and/or global team.%%0A %%0A Education/Training Requirements:%%0A · Bachelor's degree required.
