Position Description The successful candidate will be required to take primary responsibility for Financial News coverage of the hedge fund industry while working within the asset management team. Position in the organisation: Responsible to: Asset Management Editor Direct reports: None Main Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Generating and executing ideas for incisive, accessible articles on the hedge funds page of the newspaper. This requires an excellent understanding of the hedge fund industry, and the candidate should have and develop good contacts, but it also needs a good sense for the broader context of the financial services market and how hedge funds are perceived 2. Leading the newspaper in breaking news on hedge funds 3. Leading the FinancialNewsOnline coverage of news on hedge funds as it breaks 4. The successful candidate will liaise with the events team in organising the hedge funds awards and providing the editorial teams contribution 5.
