We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Manager within our Global Human Resource Solutions - Health and Welfare Practice - in our New York City office. We advise our clients on a variety of issues such as developing a health and welfare philosophy, setting short and long-term strategies, competitive analysis, plan design and roll-out, and communications. We are in search of a hands-on consultant to support clients, manage engagements and staff, and assist in the development of the NY Metro Health and Welfare practice. Responsibilities for this key role include: * Act as a credentialed actuary for the NY Metro H&W practice * Support the recruitment and management of other actuarial and H&W staff * Assist in the engagement and maintenance of key client relationships * Work directly on our most complex clients * Assist in developing products and services for the NY Metro market * Assist with business development activities and presentations * Collaborate as appropriate with other PwC lines of business (ex. Retirement, Compensation, Tax Services, etc.)Participate in and manage various engagements such as: * Retiree Health benefit strategy, design and financial analysis * Active Health benefit strategy, design and financial analysis * Budget projections and analyses * Overall health benefit cost and utilization analyses * Consumerism Incentives and Total Health Management program development * Vendor selection and management * Cross-sector health strategy and product development assistance * Mergers and Acquisitions assistance Service Tax Industry Not Applicable Office New York NY Years Experience Required 7-12 Education Required * Bachelor’s degree required * ASA/FSA designation strongly preferred Job Requirement Essential * Extensive experience (7-12 years) working in the health and welfare benefits area with a strong employer focus preferred. * Previous consulting experience is preferred.
