OVERALL SUMMARY The person in this position oversees the HBO Affiliate Hotline (HBOs day-to-day commercial decoder authorization and distributor support operations), plus the reporting of HBOs network distribution. . Manage the HBO Affiliate Hotline . Oversee the management of the network distribution database and reporting to accurately reflect distribution of HBO and Cinemax programming.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the HBO Hotline (a staff of eight), to insure proper programming distribution authorizations for HBOs linear and SVOD lines of business, and to provide quality technical information and support to affiliates and distributors. . Provide Tier III customer support to affiliates for new HBO on Broadband product. . Work closely with HBO account teams, HBO Finance, HBO IT, and HBO Engineering team/Broadcast Operations to develop and insure proper authorization, monitoring, and escalation processes and workflow. . Develop and maintain customer service quality control and staff usage analysis in order to anticipate and manage efficient and effective staffing needs. . Manage the departments communications with affiliate technical contacts for routine and also emergency messaging. . Supervise the Manager, Reporting, who has responsibility for various critical reporting needs, applications support and database management and data quality control. REQUIREMENTS . 7-10 years experience in cable or broadcast Network Operations Center/Affiliate or Customer Support, including 3-5 years supervisory/training experience in this setting. . Strong project management skills. . Proven decision-making and problem solving skills . Strong business acumen. . Effective leadership and staff management skills. . Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. . Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal direction. . Ability to multitask effectively and remain detail oriented with shifting priorities. . Ability to adapt to and enthusiastically embrace change. . At least an intermediate knowledge of the full MS Office suite, reporting applications and basic computer networking. Training/Education: . Bachelors degree required. . MBA and/or other relevant training are a plus.
