PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Position Summary: Marketing Coordinator supports Marketing Manager or Director in the development of DVD products and execution of marketing initiatives. Responsibilities: - Assist in production process for DVD packaging and bonus features - participate in brainstorming meetings, checking/obtaining clearances, monitor budgets and schedules, review materials for detail, manage schedules, route materials for approval, monitor design and printing budgets. - Develop trade strategies. Work with agencies/design firms to create trade marketing materials including email blasts, mailings, trade ads, posters, etc. - Assist in the review, approval and production of consumer advertising materials, providing photo/video assets to agencies, obtaining legal approvals, reviewing mechanicals/proofs. - Work with internal creative services team to select and edit trailers for trade and retail environments. - Process departmental invoices, track project budgets, communicate budget information to Product Management team. - Maintain status reports, act as liaison for international teams. - Collaborate with cross-platform teams (
HBO.com, HBO Advertising) to execute cross-promotions. - Monitor the DVD competitive landscape - identify new trends in packaging, advertising, promotional activity. - Develop marketing plans as a permanent record of marketing activity for each assigned DVD release. - Other departmental responsibilities may include: management of digital library, coordination of award submissions, other TBA. Requirements: - 1-3 years experience in Advertising or Marketing (Ad Agency, Online, or Entertainment Marketing experience a plus) - Strong creative judgment and familiarly with creative development process (advertising, video content, product packaging) - Excellent communication and presentation skills. Candidate must be comfortable managing vendors and communicating with senior executives/talent. - Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize work.
