GFS is made up of six product companies; Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, Trust & Fiduciary, Investment Operations, Investment Analytics and Global Derivatives Services. Our businesses operate throughout the world, but with primary locations in the UK, United States, Luxembourg, Dublin, South Africa and Australia. The Implementation/Delivery team within GFS is looking forProgram Managersto lead technology, operations and product teams in the delivery of complex, long-term programs. These programs include client onboardings, significant changes to our operating models and major regulatory initiatives. Summary of Main Responsibilities * Support deal teams in winning new business. * Participate in due diligence of target acquisitions, identify functional gaps, assess feasibility of the transaction and the develop plans and costs. * Create, structure and lead core teams of technologists, operational specialists and product experts (often supplemented by human resource, legal, compliance and premises specialists) to deliver on the firm’s contractual commitments. * Manage weekly program team meetings using a disciplined approach and documented tools with clear lines of accountability and commitment. * In concert with our clients, develop and maintain project plans, issues logs and all program governance. * Manage the change control process for assigned programs. * Present program status to internal senior management team on frequent basis. * Lead all program-related client interaction including joint working groups and steering committees. * Capture and document all business requirements. * Review and approve solutions design by technology and operations teams. * Oversee full testing program from User Acceptance through Model Office. * Manage all migration activities including dress rehearsals and mock conversions.
Preferred Skills & Experience * Proven track record of successfully managing complex, multi-million dollar, programs of change. * Strong organization skills; disciplined, detail-oriented methodology and a commercial acumen. * Proven ability to work across multiple teams and operate effectively in a matrix organization. * Ability to use influencing skills in addition to directive skills. A good team player. * Experience in working with senior management at external clients. * Broad based knowledge/experience in the Banking/Financial Services industry — preferred knowledge of at least one of the six GFS products. * Proven ability to work under pressure, to tight timeframes and tackle multiple priorities. * Good communication and negotiation skills, across multiple teams and geographies. * Ability to build a network and develop strong working relationships quickly.
