Description: Geotechnical Project Manager New York, NY Geotechnical Engineering Posted: 9/3/2008 6:15:00 AM Employee Type:Full Time The Geotechnical Project Engineer will be working on both small and large-scale projects and must have diverse and proven geotechnical engineering consulting experience, preferably in the New York Metropolitan area. Langan is involved with many high profile Manhattan projects. The candidate must have the ability and desire to develop new clients and expand services of existing clients while maintaining strong billability. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of proposals, technical reports, specifications and construction plans, recommending foundation systems, and must have had previous comprehensive field experience associated with subsurface investigations and foundation construction. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for running projects, reviewing the work of staff, mentoring, managing performance and interacting with Associates and Principals within the firm. Requirements:

Requirements: ? MS (or PhD) degree with geotechnical specialty ? PE license (NY preferred) ? Minimum 10 years of geotechnical consulting experience ? Strong familiarity with NYC Building Code ? Strong leadership and decision-making skills ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills ? Excellent interpersonal skills ? Must be self-motivated and responsible ?
