Description: Posting Job Title Financial Analyst (temp) TimeWarner Division TimeWarner Corporate Industry Corporate Media Location United States - New York - New York Requisition # 105772BR Position Type Temporary Posting Job Description Time Warner, the worlds largest media and entertainment company, seeks a Financial Analyst (for a 2-3 month temporary assignment) for the Financial Planning and Analysis Group within Time Warner Corporate headquarters. Responsibilities ? Supporting department with ongoing detailed analysis of financial performance and forecasts for various Time Warners Networks segment and divisions (Turner Broadcasting and HBO) ? Assisting with the reforecasting process including assistance with the creation of financial narratives and commentary, variance analyses, trend analyses etc. ? Maintaining multiple reports and analyses related to Time Warners Networks segment and divisions ? Interacting with multiple levels of Finance staff across TW Corporate disciplines (Investor Relations, External Reporting etc.) and operating divisions ? Participation in the review of documents related to and the creation of analyses for multiple reporting processes: Quarterly Earnings release, External reporting (10Q/10K), Monthly Internal reporting to Senior Management, Periodic reporting to divisional CEOs, Various presentations to Senior Management, Board of Directors, Investors, ratings agencies etc. ? Assisting with the preparation of competitor analysis including comparisons to industry and peer data ? Maintaining and expanding financial models used to forecast Time Warners Networks divisions ? Participation in the planning and administration of the annual budget process including detailed review and analysis of divisional budget submissions ? Assisting with the preparation of presentations for senior management, ad hoc financial analyses for senior management and participation in various corporate wide special projects and initiatives ? Regular use of and the development of a strong working knowledge of the Financial Planning system (Khalix) ? Staying abreast of current financial and operational issues impacting Time Warner consolidated and divisional performance ? Identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities including automation through effective use of financial systems Qualifications ? BS in Accounting and/or Finance, CPA and/or MBA required ? Strong analytical skills with a solid background in accounting and/or finance ? Public accounting and media industry experience preferred ? Experience in multi division financial reporting and analysis a plus ? High level of proficiency in Microsoft suite of applications with a focus on Excel, Powerpoint and MS Word. Knowledge of Khalix financial consolidation system a plus.
