Description Basic Function: Directly assist the financial brand manager with all aspects of budgeting, forecasting and spending control of finances for assigned brands. Monthly responsibility for closing, including the establishment of all accruals and the overall accuracy of the financial statements. Monitor adequacy of all promotional spending forecasts, including Display, Coupons, In-Store Spending and National Advertising. Prepare promotional program profitability analysis as required. Recommends corrective procedures where necessary to Group Controller. Prepare volume analysis for such areas as New Products, Returns and One-Time-Onlys. Code and track all invoices against current spending forecasts. Complete special projects as required. * Responsible for monthly close including booking journal entries, accrual analysis, variance analysis and audit schedules. * Responsible for monthly sales and expense forecasts and loading into Hyperion database. * Responsible for preparation of marketing promotional P&Ls. Ensuring that spending is within guidelines and alerting manager to any issues. * Prepare post-mortem P&Ls on major promotions. * Prepare analytical schedules to better understand volume and spending issues, including Volume Growth, New Products, Returns Analysis and OTO Analysis. * Code and Track all invoices against current spending forecasts. * Assist with special projects as requested.

Qualifications KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: College Degree in Accounting/Finance MINIMUM YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 2 to 3 years (consumer products preferable) SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION: This position requires current knowledge of accounting, budgeting and forecasting techniques. Must have excellent PC knowledge of Excel. Access, Hyperion and Oracle General Ledger are a plus. Must have proven ability to prepare financial schedules for monthly review and annual budgets; to generate analyses for sales, spending and forecasts; to conduct ad hoc projects and develop account specific reports.
