Well established NYC-based media licensing company with multiple cartoon and branded media properties seeks a corporate financial analyst for International Licensing Group. The analyst will assist in management of all financial projects; i.e. budgets/forecasts, monthly/quarterly reporting, financial analysis, day-to-day financial operations, involvement in testing of new licensing system and special projects. The well qualified candidate will possess a degree in finance or accounting, relevant experience with in the media or advertising industry, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES Develop and prepare annual Corporate Admin budget schedules and quarterly re-forecast information. Calculate and prepare allocation entries of Overhead costs to various profit centers. Assist in yearly budget planning and preparation of budget presentation. Liaise with corporate and departmental business managers to coordinate consolidated budget/forecast and to obtain operational information as needed. Generate monthly and quarterly financial and ledger reports, identify and research variances of actual vs. budget for management explanations. Maintain schedules to track actual expenses against budget of key Corporate Admin expense accounts. Assist in monthly close process by preparing accrual/reclass journal entries as needed. Generate and distribute financial reports. Update monthly call sheet data. Assist in financial projects, analysis, compilation and creation of reports as needed. Assist in gathering documentation for audit requests as needed. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Accounting or Finance college degree with minimum 3 years analytical experience, media experience preferred. Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with PeopleSoft financials a plus. Able to write and communicate effectively. Must be well-organized and detail oriented.
