Description:
Responsibilities for the Financial Analyst include:
- Performing accounting and reconciliations for short and long-term investments
- Tracking securities gift activity to ensure accurate recording in general ledger
- Preparing daily and ad-hoc reports for the working capital position and donor account activity
- Developing projections of investment income
- Preparing all phases of endowment programs setup
- Posting journal entries to provide initial program funding
- Maintaining financial records for the programs
- Working closely with Accounting and providing data to assist with the month and quarter-end process
- Executing other ad hoc analysis and projects as required
- Ensuring endowment accounting in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP )and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) rules
Required Skills:
- 2-4 years of public/private/combo, investment accounting or endowment accounting
- Proficiency in Mellon Executive Workbench and Peoplesoft software
