people.com. Reports to the Associate Financial Director of the People Group. The Finance Manager will excel at: . Identifying, investigating, analyzing, and communicating the risks and issues impacting the editorial and .com environments . Managing and developing 3 direct reports (handling tracking and analysis, month end financial close functions, journals and expense accruals, invoice processing, etc) . Developing strong relationships with various departments and businesses . Communicating to senior management . Digging into the details as well as taking a step back to judge the big picture impact . Juggling responsibilities across several brands and functions . Streamlining and improving upon processes and procedures . Financial analysis and reporting . Ad hoc financial analysis for special projects (one shots, launches, etc) The Edit Finance function includes: . Month end financial close and reforecast as well as annual budget . Meeting regularly with editors to gather info for YTD spending and reforecast assumptions, ensuring that all elements of editorial expenses are accurate, complete, and properly reflect operating components and cost drivers . Presenting to edit and business office senior management . EW Edit compensation . Identifying cost savings opportunities The
People.com Finance function includes: . Manage Overall P&L, month end financial close and reforecast as well as annual budget . Meeting with edit, marketing, production, etc to gather info for YTD spending and reforecast assumptions . Tracking and analysis of photo, video, and other edit costs . Presenting to
