Role and Responsibilities Thomson Reuters is looking for a contract web designer who is passionate about News and Editorial design. Responsibilities include creating and publishing news, special reports, information graphics, and multimedia on Reuters.com as well as the creation of modules, templates and style guides for use by editors. The designer will be part of a design team, reporting to the Creative Director and working across multiple disciplines to inform the world while reinforcing and invigorating the brand. Applicants must have an online portfolio.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Education * BA/BFA in Design or related field. * 3+ years professional experience in a interactive web design role * Strong presentation and communication skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment * Ability to work independently with attention to detail * Experience working with corporate branding, templates, and style guides * Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to incorporate input from all levels within an organization * Accustomed to working in a cross-functional team environment including Design, Development, Editorial, and Product Technical Requirements * Proficient in HTML and CSS * Knowledge of cross browser and platform compatibility * Advanced-level knowledge and experience with Photoshop and Illustrator * Comfortable with PC and Mac platforms Pluses * Editorial and News Media experience * Experience working with Content Management Systems * Information graphics/illustration experience * JavaScript * Flash/Actionscript Thomson Reuters employees take pride in providing our customers around the world with information that is timely, accurate, unbiased and trusted.
