Position Overview: The eCommerce Project Manager will report directly to the Director of Online Project Management. In this role s/he will manage a team of Senior and Junior-level Project Managers on a daily basis across multiple project initiatives. Their primary responsibilities will be to: * Provide oversight and direction on all assigned Domestic and Global project initiatives. * Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure successful delivery of projects into production. The eCommerce Project Manager will: * Ensure that all factors of a project delivery are addressed and implemented. * Direct in planning and development, and will review: * Project schedules * Vision documents * Functional requirements * Meeting agendas * Summaries * Help to maintain positive brand relationships on all projects. * Additionally, be responsible for keeping the Director of Online Project Management fully informed of all project progress through the full Project Lifecycle; that is: * Planning * Vision * Functional Requirements * GUI * Development * Testing * Launch * Post Deployment Duties and Responsibilities: The eCommerce Project Manager: * Works closely with the Director of Online Technology in the development of online strategies, including support and implementation of US and Global large-scale technically complex web project initiatives. * Oversees, directs and manages Project Managers through full Project Lifecycles. * Manages and executes multiple projects and tasks in a deadline-driven environment, and completes projects on time while providing oversight to the Project Manager. * Ensures that Project Managers are appropriately implementing all phases of the full Project Life Cycle (i.e. Planning, Vision, Requirements Gathering, Development, Testing, and Production). * Applies the Enhanced Project Methodology process to help Project Managers drive projects, and ensures that Project Managers are adhering to this process adequately. * Collaborates and plans with Project Managers to identify project approach, deliverables, tasks and resources required to complete a project. * Manages and tracks all project milestones and metrics for evaluating schedule and quality conformance at all stages of the Project Lifecycle. * Guides Project Managers through issues and encourages them to provide resolutions. * Focuses on the on-time delivery of projects, and help Project Managers to develop and transform market requirements into functional/technical requirements. * Manages the development of strategic business requirements on a project, assisting Project Managers in incorporating the: * Business Objectives * Competitive Landscape * Internet and Technology Trends * Risks and Assumptions * Manages the gathering of functional, technical and Graphical User Interface (GUI) requirements with Project Managers and applicable team resources to develop and document the business requirements for new project initiatives. * Acts as a primary liaison to maintain positive relationships with the US and Global Brands during project initiatives. * Regularly communicates with Project Managers and all team resources to ensure: * Earliest possible risk/issue identification * Schedule slippage * Scope change * Communicates regularly with the brands and customer service, maintaining expectations, identifying risks and issues, and sharing team concerns as they arise. * Helps the Project Manager to identify options and recommend course of action in relation to issues, arriving at a resolution. * Reviews Project Managers project plans (i.e. Project Allocation Sheets) and ensures that updates are being performed and kept current. * Reviews Project Managers: * Vision documents * Functional Requirements documents * Meeting agendas * Summaries * Reviews and follows-up on the status of Test Track (i.e. change requests and bugs) with Project Managers, and ensures that they are being addressed in a timely manner. * Utilizes and trains Project Managers on standard Project Management tools and methodologies. * Provides daily status to the Director of Project Management on all project progress including: * Status * Resolution of issues * Brand relationships * Addresses user requests with Project Managers in a timely fashion and utilizes change requests and current tracking procedures. * Performs tracking, monitoring and resource assignment of reported web site issues on a daily basis. * Provides Web Site and Project Status to eCommerce Director of Online Technology, as well as Senior and Technical Management on a weekly basis. * Holds presentations on newly-implemented site features, and trains user(s), as required, with Project Managers.
