Job description A DB2 Z/OS Senior IT Specialist, will be responsible for providing IT services in a billable project/engagement. The Senior IT Specialist leads and/or assists in delivery of high quality DB2 Z/OS solutions to clients in response to specific business requirements. IT Specialist provides DB2 for Z/OS installation and Database Administration services for IBM client engagements. IT Specialist will provide DB2 Z/Os Performance and Tuning support, recommendations and analysis of complex database implementations. On occasion, provide technical advice to project managers/leaders and can give technical direction to team members such as sub-contractors or client personnel. Analyze technical problems and create solutions involving the use of existing techniques or tools Required * High School Diploma/GED * At least 2 years experience in DB on z/OS * Readyness to travel Up to 75%%; travelling 5 days a week, home on weekends * English: Fluent Preferred * Bachelors Degree * At least 2 years experience in DB2 Z/OS Installation * At least 2 years experience in DB2 Z/OS Database Administration * At least 1 year experience in DB2 Z/OS Backup and Recovery * At least 1 year experience in DB2 Z/OS Perfromance and Tuning * At least 2 years experience in Logical Database Design * At least 2 years experience in Physical Database Design * At least 2 years experience in Data Mgmt.
