Job description CANDIDATES MAY LIVE IN ANY MAJOR CITY USA. 75%% NATIONAL TRAVEL REQUIRED. IBM Global Technology Services, IT Strategy & Architecture Services has openings for national consulting positions with a primary focus on Infrastructure Architecture Consulting to top US clients. Consultants will be assigned to engagements and expected to be billable to clients. Engagements will range from Infrastructure Design of IT Optimization Solutions for the Data Center, leveraging virtualization and automation solutions found in IBM Hardware and Software and archictecting the infrastructure required to enable Service Oriented Architecture which is primarily based around IBMs Websphere, Lotus, and Tivoli software solutions. Key measurements will include billable hours, quality of delivery, and client satisfaction. Consultants can gain experience in many different industries and be able to work towards certification as IT Specialist, IT Architect or IT Consultant. Candidates should have working knowledge in IT technical skills, written and verbal communication and possess strong logical/analytical skills. The role will require extensive client contact and the candidate must possess the ability to articulate and present recommendations directly to IT Management. Relationship management and presentations skills are critical to the success of this position. The successful candidate will have hands-on technical experience and prior leadership and documentation skills.
