Job description Seeking a Linux IT Specialist who is able to provide IT services in a billable engagement utilizing Redhat or SUSE Linux. The Linux IT Specialist will assist in delivery of high quality solutions to clients in response to specific business requirements and provide analytical support necessary to implement solutions for projects small to large in scope. Responsibilities may also involve assisting in the identification of new IT services opportunities, providing technical advice to project managers/leaders and providing technical direction to team members, subcontractors or client personnel. Candidate should have the ability to analyze technical problems involving the use of existing techniques or tools, including applied knowledge in Redhat or SUSE Linux and high performance computing. Knowledge of IBM System x or Intel-based servers, storage area network and shell programming skills preferred. Excellent written & verbal communications along with leadership and problem solving skills are critical in this position.
