Position Purpose: PURPOSE - accurately review and prepare confirmations for all Structured Products and to ensure accuracy and legitimacy for all new and amended transactions processed. Primarily responsible for asset classes: Hybrid of Equity and commodity derivatives. Key Accountabilities: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES . Specific results expected in each key area will be agreed to by the incumbent and their line manager. . Maintain a competent understanding of the 2005 ISDA Commodity / 2006 ISDA Definitions and 2002ISDA Equity Definitions. . Process confirmations for all products received in both SOPHIS and Workflow systems. . Any new and/or non-standard templates to be used, early termination clauses or special requests from clients refered to lline manager. . Documentation provided to has been approved by Legal and/or GMO as necessary. . Ensure the proper documentation for all approved templates are obtained and archived, and applicable operational procedures are documented. . identifying operational issues, relating to confirmations, when new products are introduced, and/or systems are implemented or updated. . Manage time and Workflow optimally to minimize overtime. Initiate procedural improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. . Ensure compliance with assigned Unit Financial Control (UFCs) and Standing Orders (STOs) to achieve a "very good" audit rating. . Mitigate the Banks legal and operational risk of loss by ensuring timely and complete identification of all discrepancies and missing trades; promptly notify traders and management of missing trades. KEY RELATIONSHIPS . External counterparties (both their documentation group and FO staff) . Marketers/Traders, HO Legal & external counsel, Documentation, Credit Risk and internal clients Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience): EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE Required . College/University Degree Preferred . Structured products experience - solid . Drafting from first principles - (not simply slotting in dates and numbers to templates). AUTHORITIES, IMPACT, RISK . Failure to properly complete this function could result in significant cost/risk exposure due to the long-term nature and complexity of products handled. . The incumbent also has a direct impact on the perceived professionalism of the Bank with its clients.
