More information about this job: Overview: The Director of Marketing - Legal Solutions is responsible for driving Océ Business Services go-to-market strategy and tactical execution for all legal vertical solutions, primarily records management and eDiscovery. As a Director, youll take ownership of competitive analysis, market requirements definition, developing service value propositions, launch planning and execution, pricing, industry programs and sales training. This position has wide visibility. The ideal candidate will be focused on understanding customer needs, set and attain ambitious goals, demonstrate initiative, effectively coordinate activities across functions, and execute to win. The role of the Director is to gain a deep understanding of current and future needs for records management, eDiscovery and related areas such as compliance. As a Director, youll be responsible for developing and executing an integrated marketing plan that includes solution communications and sales support programs as well as ongoing analyses of new opportunities within the segment. Youll match identified business needs against company capabilities to provide innovative solutions that create a business advantage for our clients.
Responsibilities: Define and manage processes to build insights and knowledge to clearly identify the voice of the customer and understand market segmentation and target audiences Develop and communicate a plan for records and eDiscovery services and segments to drive market share and profitability Must be the resident expert in eDiscovery and records management as well as customer groups, to create value propositions and intelligently translate into messages that are relevant, knowledgeable and effective in the marketplace Work with the rest of marketing to develop and execute analyst and PR plans as well as programs/campaigns including lead generation, collateral and relationship marketing Must write white papers, client case histories, market analyses, and recommendations Create, execute and support strategically important thought leadership events and sales activities Create sales support tools such as value calculators, ROI models and online demos Prepare regular market and competitive analyses and recommendations regarding implications for the solution portfolio, market penetration, and value proposition Understand and research key regulatory issues specific to an offering or customer group, and translate these into meaningful direction Responsible for defining, modeling and justifying pricing Stay current on status of market, new opportunities and trends, by attending relevant industry and competitor events, reading appropriate publications, and speaking regularly with sales, partners, clients and prospects Understand the technical functions and features of solutions, and clearly communicate this value Interface closely within marketing and with other internal partners across divisions and functions to ensure company goals are met and initiatives are successfully implemented
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree required; MBA preferred Requires 8-10 years experience in business-to-business service management and 5 years managerial experience Deep industry experience in electronic discovery and records management, and understanding of the associated technologies, is mandatory Experienced in marketing along industry lines with specific expertise in the legal industry Strong hands-on expertise creating and implementing services marketing and communications plans and programs Experienced in managing a product/service P&L, and pricing Expertise launching new services to the legal vertical Technically skilled with an understanding of solution capabilities and an ability to map capabilities to business needs Knowledge of document management, imaging/OCR applications and online review tools Knowledge of industry trends and evolving technology changes Demonstrated judgment, analytical, problem solving and time management skills Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Ability to manage highly professional interpersonal relationships with tact and diplomacy
