Description: Job Title Director of Product Development, Pre-College Kaplan Division Kaplan Test Prep City New York State/Province New York FT/PT Full Time Job Level Entry Level Required Working Hours Days Evenings Weekends Job Description Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions is looking for a Director of Pre-College Product Development to manage all aspects of Pre-College curriculum, product development, and program delivery, including revisions for the five Pre-College product lines, supporting field tools and documents, and communication with home office support teams. Responsibilities:

* Oversee course revision from conception to production to ensure programs focus on both raising scores effectively and efficiently while also being student- and instructor- friendly * Manage team of 3 full-time product developers/editors. Oversee management of part-time freelance writers and graphic artists * Direct multiple ongoing product revisions and updates, including creation of schedule and timely execution of product delivery by team in a deadline-driven environment * Act as the liaison with other teams involved in product revisions and launches, including e-Learning, production, art, operations, service, sales, etc. * Manage a curriculum revision budget * Design and develop classroom and tutoring lesson plans, reference material, and e-Learning tools for students preparing for SAT, ACT, and other Pre-College standardized tests * Oversee creation of program delivery guides and supporting documents for new and current products. Communicate roll-out and training for new courses to field staff and instructors * Copyedit and proofread course materials - questions, explanations, text of student, and teacher materials - to bring them up to Kaplans standards and ensure that they are free of errors

Requirements:

* Bachelors Degree * 4+ years experience in educational production setting; teacher and/or curriculum development a plus * Strong interpersonal skills and facility working with different business units * Proven ability to multitask and prioritize multiple ongoing projects * Strict adherence to schedules, deadlines, and workflow * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment * Strong research and organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous details and to focus on precision * Strong problem solving, decision-making, and creative thinking abilities * Passion for customer service and business growth * High SAT or ACT scores * Must be authorized to work in the United States
