We are looking for a creative, driven Human Resources star who will serve as the #2 person on a highly active, fast paced, and quality oriented Human Resources team. As part of a department of eight, reporting to the Executive Director of Human Resources, you will support a total client group of 3000 FT and 6000 PT employees in multiple locations across the U.S. In addition to exceptional leadership and analytical skills, you must have a "roll-up your sleeves" attitude. In this critical role, you will provide front line, hands-on, tactical support in the area ofemployee relations,benefits administration, management coaching, resource planning, compensation, performance management and training.
Responsibilities:
* Provide advice and counsel to managers and supervisors regarding HR policies, practices, and employment laws; * Manage and advise on employee relations issues. * Participate in coaching, counseling and development meetings to resolve employee related issues. * Prepare and maintain employee handbook and policies and procedures manual * Monitors online performance management, annual employee feedback and exit interview initiatives. * Ensures compliance with all state and federal employment regulations; * Creation, coordination and implementation of internal and external employee development programs, including employee orientation. * Manage biweekly benefit orientation sessions for all new hires * Conduct Benefits training on policies and procedures * Assist employees with benefit questions * Manage FMLA claims, laws, etc. * Monitor and manage Unemployment Compensation process and Workman Compensation Claims * Short-term and long-term disability claims * WPONET (payroll) * Maintain and update training tools/documents on company intranet * Manage and organize the Tuition Reimbursement Program and Gift of Knowledge programs
Required skills:
* BA required, SPHR preferred. * 5-8+ years of demonstrated professional level experience and proficiency as a human resources generalist with experience in employee relations, benefits, compensation, training and development, and recruiting * Demonstrated ability to complete multiple projects and assignments * Previous experience supporting a large population in multi-site locations If you have a passion for education and business, e-mail your resume, cover letter, and salary requirements today!
