Responsibilities: About the Team You will be joining the Insight business unit, an exciting and fast-paced start-up division within Akamai focused on a new behavioral targeting product line for the online advertising marketplace. The Insight team works with the largest online marketers and publishers to help improve the scale, reach, and effectiveness of their online advertising campaigns. About the Job As Director, Channel Sales for the Insight Business Unit, your mission will be to develop, grow and implement our revenue strategy around our publisher channel partners. You will report directly to the Senior Director, Sales of the Insight Business Unit. We will look to you to help build the structure and plan that will increase our footprint in our channel strategy. Your leadership skills and ability to work with our clients, Publisher Sales, Ad Operations, Product Management, and Marketing teams are crucial to this position. You will be responsible for the following: Responsibilities * Develop business plan to grow revenue by demonstrating the value of Akamais re-targeting products to all levels of the publisher channel organizations. * Insure that Senior Management within the publisher channel organizations provides proper top down messaging about Akamais re-targeting capabilities. * Provide training and support for all of Akamais re-targeting solutions to the publisher channel sales organization. * Develop tools/programs for the publisher channel sales team to assist in selling more Akamai re-targeting products. * Keep Akamais Insight Management team updated on the status of programs and make suggestions on more effective ways to increase revenue.
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications * Education: Bachelors Degree * Overall Experience: 5-7 years or equivalent experience Desired Qualifications * 5 years experience in online advertising sales. * Strong understanding of online advertising eco-system including detailed understanding of Publisher-Ad Network economics. * Proven ability to operate across all functions of a company from senior levels down: Sales, Ad Operations, Product Marketing, and Finance. * Excellent communication (verbal and non-verbal), presentation & interpersonal skills * Highly organized with the ability to work well under time pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously * Must be: creative, a self-starter, team player, fast learner, detail oriented, and conscientious Akamai Technologies is an Affirmative Action, Equal Opportunity employer (M/F/D/V) that values the strength that diversity brings to the workplace.
