Essential Functions Fitch Ratings is seeking experienced professionals for our Latin America group to provide high quality credit analysis and timely research on highly visible corporate credits located throughout Latin America. Desired location of the position(s) is in Rio de Janeiro/São Paulo, Brazil and/or Monterrey/Mexico City, Mexico. Opportunities to work in one of our other offices including New York, Chicago, Buenos Aires, and Santiago may exist to accommodate the right candidate. The successful candidate for this Director level analyst position must be able to demonstrate skills and experience that will allow for immediate primary coverage of a multi-country portfolio with emphasize on Brazil and Mexico of complex Latin American Corporate credits, concentrated in the industrial and consumer related sectors. Primary responsibilities include: . Read, analyze and interpret complex documents .Performing analysis of key quantitative and qualitative factors, detailed financial modeling Conducting in-depth onsite meetings with senior corporate management of companies covered .Present companies to credit rating committee; communicate results to management .Respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints .Effectively interact with sophisticated investors, sell-side analysts and media .Make effective, persuasive speeches and presentations in public forums .Write special reports, credit analysis and articles using original techniques or style .Communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively analytical opinion both orally and written to internal and external audiences. Requirements include: .Successful candidate must possess 5+ years relevant experience .Solid professional background with evidence strong credit skills .Knowledge of corporate credit and industry analysis .Strong English writing skills .Good presentation skills .Well-developed interpersonal communication skills .Understand complex concepts and applying logic to intellectual and practical problems .Create models and spreadsheets including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point .MBA and/or CFA preferred .Position requires 20%% travel .English and Portuguese and/or Spanish fluency Candidates should be confident, mature, and dynamic as well as personable, independent and team player. Candidates must be self starters and have the experience and ability to cope with time pressure and deadlines.
