McGraw-Hill Professional has an outstanding opportunity for aDirector, Digital Sales & Marketingto manage the sales and marketing strategy and execution for all McGraw-Hill Professional online and digital products, including online subscription products. Essential responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following: * Approve the territory strategies in collaboration with division general management and stake holders in editorial, production and technology management. * Manage and direct publicity, advertising, promotion, direct marketing and events for online subscription products to institutional and consumer customers in the US and manages all related expense budgets. * Manage and direct U.S. sales of print product to pharmaceutical companies for English language products. Set the overall pharmaceutical channel strategy and align, create and approve the territory strategies in consultation with Vice President, Digital. * Manage international subsidiary and 3rdparty distributor relationships to ensure new digital subscription business pipeline is continually growing and renewal business is executed in advance of contract expiration date. * Develop new 3rdparty digital subscription distributor relationships in US or foreign territories where necessary to increase market penetration * Develops sales forecasts for accurate tracking and projection of sales to ensure attainment of revenue, profit and growth objectives and develops and maintains database of global digital subscription sales information * Attract, retain, develop, and motivate team by providing mentorship, career path guidance, creating development plans, and conducting performance reviews * Minimum 5 years experience managing sales of online subscription products to institutional customers in the academic, corporate and/or hospital marketplace * Demonstrated ability to manage a large team with diverse responsibilities and to meet and exceed annual revenue targets in excess of $20M * Must have proven knowledge of the digital medical informatics universe including disease and disorder information, drug information and hospital database (electronic health records and hospital formulary) marketplaces. * 3-5 years experience managing sales on online subscription products direct to consumers * 5 years experience managing advertising, marketing and promotion of online information products * 3-5 years experience managing sales of medical reference information to pharmaceutical companies * Demonstrated ability of managing intermediary relationships in the global market including traveling to and interacting with partners in North America, Latin America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. * Proven ability to demonstrate creativity and operate within expense budgets. * Bachelors degree, MBA preferred.
