Description: Job Title DIRECTOR - BUSINESS CASE DEVELOPMENT/CASE PLANNING Job Function and Key Duties & Responsibilities Position Summary: The Corporate Vice President (CVP) specializes in working with top producing Insurance Agent Investment Advisory Representatives (IARs) in developing case design, financial plans and asset allocation strategies for High Net Worth Individuals. These cases include but are not limited to retirement savings, investment products and services, individual variable and fixed annuities, financial planning, investment advisory services, and other investment vehicles. In this role the CVP will manage a staff whose purpose is to support core product sales for New York Life Insurance; create and distribute best-in-class proposals; finalize presentations by developing a team of highly qualified professionals who share the common goal of winning and retaining business, through analytical capacity and marking know-how.
Position Description: The CVP will: Manage areas that create financial plans and asset allocation strategies for top producers and high net worth clients - Manage the Case Development Unit which will provide planning and asset allocation help to top producing Field Offices - Assist Advisers in create and sell asset allocation strategies that use life insurance and retirement income annuities as separate asset classes, and promote core product sales by promoting this model. - Oversee area that will train Advisers in using the financial planning process to identify core product sale. - Responsible for oversight of unit that will create marketing materials for use with clients - Creation of sale collateral for use with clients; this includes audio visual training tools, and how to present them. - Creation of white papers showing value of insurance in portfolios and importance of insurance in planning. - Create output and proposals for use with clients. - Creation of scorecards to measure success - Scorecards will be created that measure success in terms of Revenue and Expense generation - Tracking will also be done in target offices to measure growth in core product sales. - Work with other case development units within the Advanced Markets of New York Life - Create a seamless experience for the Advanced Market Adviser by working with Top Producers and other case development groups on products and services provided. - Research vendors to identify software package to service the advanced markets. Prior experience with building asset allocation models. . Series 7, and 65 or 66 required - Series 24, life and health license preferred. . MBA or MSFS preferred. . Excellent communications skills - both verbal and written. . Strong analytical skills required. . Prior experience with management of sales desk or case development work preferred. . Goal orientated . Results driven . Experience with financial planning software (e.g. eMoney, NaviPlan etc.).
