Description: Posting Job Title Dir, Product Management TimeWarner Division AOL Industry Online Content/Services Brand AOL Location United States - New York - New York Requisition # 103920BR Position Type Full Time Posting Job Description AOL Music Products Director AOL Entertainment currently seeks a strategic & operational Product lead for AOL focused on industry trends to inform and develop product strategy addressing the entire consumer product experience including but not limited to Social Media, User-Generated Content and Distributed Applications. The Product Director will guide Music applications from vision through execution, launch to consumer and constant refinement based on consumer feedback and data-driven decision-making. Importantly, the candidate will champion Open Services and extend AOL Music beyond "the bounds of the domain" and succeed in a distributed application strategy including social apps, widgets, feeds, and other insertions into the conversations happening every day on the web. Required qualifications include:

* High standards of professional integrity and work ethic, and strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to intelligently present to senior executives. * Experience in the Entertainment industry, with digital Music and/or record label background. * Readiness to participate in business and corporate development, lending product authority to strategic deal-making activity. * Experience in bringing web products to market, from concept through specification and development to launch planning for highest consumer adoption, and based on success measurements, optimizing post-launch iterations. * Experience managing product requirements for data-driven applications and direct collaboration or matrix management over technical development. * Familiarity with agile development and readiness to operate in agile methodology. * Conversant and strategic in Web 2.0 concepts of user feeds, social contribution, and openness. * Constant awareness of developments in online media product innovations, via blogosphere, conferences, etc. * Awareness of current standards in API development and service-based distributed applications. * Ability to design and lead a distributed widget campaign. * Confident and positive in a fast-paced environment * Readiness to navigate the organization of AOL and strategic partners, identify integration opportunities, and serve as a resource integrator to realize previously unseen value.

Desired qualifications include:

* Presence and Authority in the arena of digital music, through blogging, networking, speaking in conference panels for example * MBA or formal education in Product Marketing * Hands-on experience in technical development * Experience with Agile Development Methodology * Familiarity with the dynamics of major online media competitors and their products
