Job description DB2 390 on the z/OS platform technical consultant position in the Information Management Lab Based Services Team. This role involves on site technical services delivery to customers who are implementing IBMs DB2 390 on the z/OS platform. It includes everything from healthchecks, performance tuning, database architecture and disaster recovery planning of the DB2 390 product to the upgrade of DB2 V7 to V8 and V9. A qualified candidate will have at least 7 years (recent) experience workingin the z/OS environment as a DB2 DBA or Systems Programmer. Some Application Programmer expertise is also required. Strong COBOL programming expertise is a definite asset. A wide range of experience in each of these disciplines is preferred. Work is normally performed at customer sites. 75%% travel is required.
