This role will assist in the effective use of data within Ratings. The selected candidate will help the push for the integrity and quality of data within Ratings' activities and while maintaining a focus on strategic initiatives. This position will ensure that Rating Analysts are using the existing and future assets effectively across the organization. The incumbent will partner with Data Strategy group to implement new policies and procedures.%%0A%%0A * Provide recommendations and support implementation on technical or procedural workflow on data production by partnering with IT to build new data processes.%%0A * Perform root cause and trend analysis and implement solutions that lead to data quality and process improvements%%0A * Manage and run ad hoc data queries from multiple database types to identify data inconsistencies and support data production groups initiatives%%0A * Overhaul current data processes in place and develop integrated global tracking/reporting system to encompass all phases of data extraction, transformation and loading%%0A * Work with members of other teams such as Project Management, Business Units, and IT to understand, identify and address issues or opportunities that lead to effective data management processes and improvements in data quality and services%%0A * Manage data collection from multiple sources and make recommendations on alternatives for implementation%%0A * Scrutinize data record counts from differing databases/sources, determine reasons for any discrepancies and implement streamlined processes for the Data Operations group%%0A * Working with Data Quality Assurance, identify measurable data and implement metrics to be used as global benchmarks to gauge performance of the data quality control group%%0A * Assist to define the data requirements of our Ratings Analysts by understanding how they use and manipulate the data. Constantly and continually review, evaluate and report data sources and how the business unit will use the data%%0A * Leverage different data points and resource elements across Ratings to streamline the processes and procedures and to enhance efficiencies of S&P's various products%%0A * Partner with Associates in the international subsidiary based in Mumbai to help implement/coordinate data strategies%%0A * Perform business analysis on enhancement requests of processes and systems%%0A * Present data strategy recommendations on the technical and procedural processes to the Director of the Data Strategy Operations team as well as other members of the Data Operations Management Team%%0A * Work with technical and development teams to ensure appropriate implementation of data change%%0A * Contribute to overall Data Strategy & Operations group responsibilities%%0A * Train other members of the staff within the Data Strategy & Operations group. %%0A%%0A We offer a competitive compensation package including full benefits as of day 1.
