We are currently seeking to add to the Currency Strategy Group, to support nationwide FX marketing efforts to high net worth individuals, small and middle-market companies, and larger corporate clients. The position will be located in New York, and will report to the Head of Currency Strategy. The chosen candidate will need to: - Write daily and monthly commentaries on trends in major and/or selected emerging currencies. - Monitor selected emerging currencies and regions, and provide periodic updates for the sales and trading teams, and their clients. - Chair, as required, conference calls on global trends for FX sales team. - Contribute to the official Wells Fargo FX forecasts on a periodic basis. - Respond to client and trader requests on an as needed basis. This position provides an excellent growth opportunity, including increasing client and potentially media interaction over time.

Minimum Qualifications: - Our ideal candidate would have strong writing and communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. - The candidate should have one to two years experience as a currency strategist/economist in a role which includes authoring market commentaries and research, and a Bachelors or Masters degree in a related field. - Knowledge of emerging markets would be an advantage, as would statistical/econometric skills.
