International client seeks Credit Analyst for banks and brokers located in the Americas. • Portfolio analysis and production of credit reports and outlooks for commercial banks, broker dealers and investment banks located in North and South America. Risk management of Capital Markets and Trade Finance activities. Perform credit outlooks and research on specific issues related to the portfolio of financial institutions. Job Description 1. Prepare credit applications for annual reviews: Contact Global Operating Centers to determine sales/trading needs. Obtain additional information with their views on the client and the operating environment. Research financial information on the counterparty (Internet, phone, mail, rating agencies, Bloomberg, colleagues, coverage, etc.) Read economic and banking-sector research covering the Americas to support the analysis. Provide financial and qualitative analysis on the counterparts in order to assess an independent opinion of counterparty creditworthiness. Propose counterparty ratings and adequate credit limits. Review and update referential data. Review legal documentation, establish credit terms and following up on any negotiations. Attend external meetings with clients, rating agencies or other risk associations for better understanding of products, clients and industry trends. 2. Analysis of transactions on a case-by-case basis. These requests come directly from the business lines or through credit operations departments. Understand transaction risks. Help structure the transaction to reduce risk. Present the transaction to management and support the recommendation. Follow-up with the request until final decision is taken. 3. Risk monitoring Daily review of counterparty exposures. Prepare follow ups on specific counterparties under review. Maintain ratings with up-to-date rating changes. Respond to and solve counterparty credit limit exceptions. Contribute to portfolio reviews with focus on trends in credit exposure, ratings, counterparties, countries, etc. Prepare up-to-date information on clients under watchlist.
