Duration: 12 months+ Start date: Approx May 30, 2008 The Project Contracts Analyst will assist with the procurement of software, hardware and services for IT projects and possibly other matters, including confirming proper allocation of funds and required approvals. He or she will provide support to a senior analyst in acquiring and evaluating competitive price quotations from project contractors and other vendors for these procurements, and in maximizing cost savings and value. The Project Contracts Analyst will assist in general (non-legal) review of procurement terms. The Project Contracts Analyst will perform initial review of invoices to confirm consistency with projections, quotations, and budget allocations, and to confirm that all pre-conditions for payment have been met, as well as managing routing, to ensure timely and appropriate payment. The Project Contracts Analyst will serve as a liaison with project contractor teams, suppliers, and the legal, business, and technical teams, facilitating issue resolution and information/data flow. He or she will prepare and manage procurement project schedules to ensure that enough time is allotted, and will review past, present, and proposed purchases to ensure consistency and continuity. He or she will support the execution, registration, and Acceptance processes for work orders and other project- and procurement-related documents and associated deliverables. He or she will obtain and track warranty and maintenance details for new procurements, ensure that orders are properly placed and delivered, and work with the Procurement Unit in the acquisition of asset management information and to ensure that hardware and software maintenance/support continue uninterrupted. The Project Contracts Analyst will assist with tracking systems for purchases of, and payment for, project goods and services. Finally, the Project Contracts Analyst will be responsible for identifying issues arising in the areas in which he or she works, escalating them to senior staff and management as necessary, and undertaking other projects as directed by management.
