Description: Computer Operator Tracking Code 1166 Job Description The ISE is currently recruiting a Computer Operator to join our Computer Operations team. ISE is seeking a Computer Operator to join our team. This individual will work rotating shifts. The Ideal candidate must demonstrate ability to Monitor, Operate, and manage all ISE trading applications running on multiple OS platforms. Assist team in executing system recovery procedures when applicable. Execute system recovery procedures during critical and off-line hours. Update technical procedures and protocol. Assist in department and company projects which require activities off of the front-line of Level 1. Perform proper daily system checkouts, assigned tasks, and projects. Job Requirements:
* In-depth experience in an open systems environment. Strong working knowledge of Windows Server Operating System required. * Working knowledge of Veritas NetBackup or similar enterprise backup products. * Strong working knowledge of data and telecommunications principals. Proficient in the use of MS Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel. * Working knowledge of issue ticketing and reporting software such as Remedy required. * The candidate will possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills. * This position will require regular interaction with various support groups, end-users and management of all levels. Must be able to analyze problems and solve them creatively; be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. * Must demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills. * Must develop a strong knowledge of products, features and services and how our customers use them. * Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize and complete specified tasks under strict deadlines. * Needs the ability to communicate status both orally and in written form effectively. * Must have solid team working skills in a fast paced setting. * Individual must possess the ability to various shifts. * Must be flexible with the ability to work occasional `off shifts in order to cover for operations staff during vacation, sick or personal time, or to attend training opportunities and or meetings and incident management coverage. * Overtime is a requirement of this position and is often required on an unscheduled as needed basis.
