Compensation Manager Partner with HR Generalists and clients to understand and support HBOs business objectives by providing analytical support, counseling, and expert compensation advice for their functional areas. Develop, implement, and administer compensation policies and programs, recommending solutions or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems. Lead functional market pricing initiatives, job analysis, trend analysis and metric development, reporting. Manage, lead and administer HBOs equity plans and relocation programs. Analyze competitive market data and assure our competitive market position. Review internal equity and prepare proposals to management on salary adjustments. Understand industry compensation practices and new developments. Align compensation programs with business needs, developing creative solutions for business retention and recruitment issues Lead various compensation projects as needed Responsible for strengthening and cultivating strong business relationships within HBO, across Time Warner divisions and among compensation professionals in the entertainment industry. Works in collaboration with HR management to ensure HBOs total rewards programs are consistently applied throughout the company. Manage relationships with outside relocation and compensation vendors.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 - 7 yrs of progressive compensation experience in a mid to large size organization with an emphasis on base salary and incentive pay plans, job analysis and evaluation & stock option/RSU plans. . Expert in performing complex statistical and trend analysis. . Strong working knowledge and application of regulations (e.g. FLSA, 409A, FASB) effecting HR practices and principles. . Demonstrated experience as an internal compensation consultant that possess excellent customer service skills. . Excellent communication (verbal, written and presentation skills) with ability to effectively interface will all levels of management. . Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or Human Resources Management required. . Advanced knowledge of Excel and HRIS systems required. . CCP credentials or related coursework desired.
