PwCs Internal Firm Services (IFS) staff members provide strategic services to our internal clients in the areas of Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Infrastructure, Knowledge Management, Learning & Education (L&E), Marketing & Sales, National Special Functions, Office of the General Counsel (OGC), and Risk Management. PricewaterhouseCoopers is currently seeking a qualified individual for the following position: Communications Manager, Human Resources PwCs Marketing and Sales function is a client-focused, high-performing team, which is strategically aligned to the Firms priorities and passionately focused on positioning a distinctive PwC brand in the marketplace and driving long-term revenue growth for the Firm. Develops and disseminates internal communication messages and vehicles that support the Firms strategy and brand within the context of Human Resources.The Functional Communications Leader is responsible for both strategic and operational direction of all internal communications for the function, including supervision of internal communications staff, to facilitate a broad understanding of the Firms overall strategy and objectives, the functions strategic objectives in support of those priorities, the functions capabilities and services, as well as any key issues and initiatives facing the Function. To ensure consistency and coordination across the Firm, this position plays an active role in the US Communications team to ensure consistency of Function messages internally, as appropriate. Responsibilities: Communications Functions: Communications Strategy Development and Execution: Develop and implement an internal communications strategy for the function, working directly with Human Resources Leadership, which supports the Firm’s overall brand positioning and helps build awareness/understanding of client priorities and issues, as well as an understanding of Functions priorities around its clients and people. Develop and manage an operating budget for the Functional communications function that supports agreed-upon goals and service levels. Goals for internal communications include streamlining communications to achieve greater efficiencies, driving consistency and promoting transparency. Ensure that customers/stakeholders’ internal communication needs are evaluated against relevance criteria, prioritized as appropriate and implemented on schedule. Support the Brand: Ensure that all Human Resources communications have appropriate linkage with and adhere to the overall PwC branding and positioning strategy and execution standards. Maintain brand position in the messaging and visual presentation. Ensure Quality and Consistency: Drive communication protocols and provide guidance on standards to the practice. Direct content creation and dissemination of internal messaging both inside and outside of the Function, including leadership messages, newsletters, webcasts, Flash presentations, video and other broad-based internal communications. Collaboration across the US Communications team is critical. Work with internal customers/stakeholders to review, ensure consistency and approve proposed external messaging prior to release. Actively participate in the US Communications network: Support contributions to firmwide leadership communications, such as The Wrap and Your Firm. Ensure communications meet established firm guidelines, risk and quality review, independence and OGC guidelines (where appropriate).

Service IFS Industry Not Applicable Office New York NY Years Experience Required 5+ Education Required Undergraduate Degree (e.g., BA, BS) or equivalent experience Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred in English, journalism, communications or marketing. MBA preferred. Job Requirement Essential Minimum of 5 years experience in marketing or communications management is essential. Experience supporting the Human Resources function strongly preferred. Experience with Marketing in Professional Services preferred. Must demonstrate a proven track record of developing, managing and executing complex strategic communications programs. Business and professional understanding Knowledge of how a matrix organization works, and how to leverage resources within it. Understanding of public relations and a professional communications organization works. Communications skills: * Excellent writing, editing, verbal and visual communications skills. * Interpersonal communications, management and leadershipStrong management skills: * Ability to build excellent relationships and interact effectively with partners and senior management. * Ability to build solid working relationships with peers, subordinates and internal information sources.Adaptive to organizational change and to opportunities for growth, information sharing and learning. Leadership/facilitation skills for work group/team discussions. Ability to manage multiple and diverse projects simultaneously. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
