ARAMARK Healthcare is seeking aClinical Engineering Director to manage, support and direct the day-to-day operational program of the Clinical Engineering Department for a facility in the Manhattan, NYC area. Large Prestigious 1000 bed Teaching Hospital and Medical School in New York City; Large Emergency Department volume: Mission = The Mission Statement states Mount Sinais commitment to excellent patient care, the education of physicians and scientists, the support of innovative research, the dissemination of knowledge, the good health of the community, and the creation of a working environment conducive to individual creativity, career and personal advancement Responsible for the delivery of ARAMARK’s contractual commitments to Mount Sinai Hospital, which include leadership and management of the hospital’s Clinical Engineering department on a daily basis; assuring the hospital’s regulatory and labor compliance; performing within respective budgets; directing a staff of 17 Biomedical Technicians, and department management/support teams. * Desire to share your knowledge, while mentoring staff members in continual training, learning and reinforcement of service, technical, analytical, planning and development skills. * Ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services, entrepreneurship and building and growing a strong business is critical. * Administer inspections to insure quality performance, in addition to proactively monitoring and maintaining an assurance plan for equipment safety and mandatory performance levels. * Performing within both ARAMARKs and hospital budget * Establish long and short-range goals and objectives in maintaining an equipment and quality improvement management program; in addition to, providing departmental compliance with JCAHO and all Federal and State regulatory agencies. Qualifications Minimum Qualification Requirements * Bachelors Degree and /or equivalent experience preferred * Minimum 8 to 10 years experience in managing a large CE Dept of similar size * Understanding of regulatory requirements in an Acute-care hospital * Strong written and oral communication skills. * Successful Union Laobr Relations experience * Understands financial systems and impact * Familiarity with Studer programs a plus * Experience with ARAMARK systems a plus * Previous executive level experience a plus * Excellent interpersonal skills (tactful and courteous), supported with a positive attitude ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and complete professionalism. * Excellent time management and organizational skills * Knowledge of JCAHO and OSHA standards and other local, State and Federal regulations, required. * Builds strong positive relationships with all levels of organization
