Position Description: POSITION SUMMARY The Client Relations Associate will provide client service and reporting to investors in private real estate funds sponsored by AIG Global Real Estate. The individual will work closely with AIG Global Real Estate accounting, asset management, business development, and legal teams globally and interact with other groups within AIG Investments. The position is based in New York and reports to the Vice President of Client Relations. BACKGROUND ON AIG GLOBAL REAL ESTATE The real estate investment activities of AIG Companies are conducted primarily by AIG Global Real Estate. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES â• a Client Relations and Special Requests â?? build relationships with investors and respond to a myriad of detailed investor requests. Provide timely responses to requests from prospective clients, existing investors and consultants that require generating reports and presentations and facilitating the flow of information while working with colleagues to gather information and perform analysis to execute specific reporting requests and inquiries. â• a Capital Calls and Distributions â?? work with accounting to produce and distribute capital call and distribution notices. Communicate with clients and AIG Investments representatives for clear and complete information sharing. â• a Quarterly Reports â?? work with each fundâ?s asset management team to create quarterly asset management reports. Work with accounting to assist with financial reports as needed. Format and edit reports and manage the production and distribution of reports to clients and AIG Investments representatives as requested. â• a Quarterly Investor Calls â?? coordinate, schedule, and manage quarterly calls and invitations to limited partners. Help fund management team in agenda creation and planning. Follow up with investors after quarterly calls. â• a Enhance External Communication Process â?? active involvement in client correspondence, coordination of client meetings and conference calls, create presentation materials for meetings, aid in the creation and distribution of flipbooks, track investor requests, participate in portfolio reviews, and assist the product development and capital raising teams. â• a Annual Investor Meetings and Regional Conferences â?? work with marketing and AIG Investments client relations colleagues to assist in planning, coordinating, and executing all aspects of the event. â• a Client Events â?• Work with marketing and AIG Investments to plan client events, including dinners, activities, sporting events, etc. QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of real estate, private funds, and accounting is required as this position is responsible for responding to detailed investor questions. Candidate should possess excellent communication skills and excel in working and fostering relationships with clients. The position requires a team-oriented individual with the ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment with a global client base. Must have strong attention to detail and time management skills. Strong written and oral communication skills are critical. â• a At least 4 years work experience with at least 2 years in private equity, real estate, or accounting. â• a Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. â• a Extensive prior experience working directly with client and possess a client-focused orientation. â• a Strong understanding of real estate and funds, including knowledge of industry standards for accounting and financial reporting. â• a Excellent organization and management skills. â• a Ability to work closely with multiple internal constituents. â• a Series 7 / Series 63 license strongly preferred (candidates without these licenses must be wiling to obtain them if hired). â• a Bachelors degree required.
