General Description: BEGIN Managed Programs Central Office New York City, NY

(BMP) is a comprehensive adult education and work readiness program designed to assist public assistance recipients to get jobs and achieve life-long employability. Towards this goal, BMP provides literacy instruction, vocational skills training and integrated work experience based upon participant preferences at program sites throughout the City. The purpose of these worksites is to provide work experience for public assistance recipients participating in any of the BEGIN Managed Programs. These work sites may be at public, non profit and/or private organizations.

Under the direct supervision of the Senior Director of Programs, Contracts and Worksite Management, the Worksite Coordinator will fulfill the following duties as a member of the Central Office Worksite Management Unit: Other Duties: *Identify work experience opportunities at public, non profit and private sector agencies. *Establish contracts with identified agencies to serve as Worksite Partners. *Maintain relationships with Worksite Partners to insure all contractual obligations are met. *Update profiles and memorandum of understandings established with Worksite Partner agencies. *Represent BEGIN Managed Programs during field visits and at Worksite Partner events. *Maintain required documentation regarding worksites both electronically and in hard copy. *Work collaboratively with program staff to ensure appropriate placement and evaluation of participants. *Resolve worksite related issues with participating agencies and BEGIN sites. *Assist in designing and participating in staff development concerning work readiness and worksite development. *Provide technical assistance to program and worksite staff regarding Equal Employment Opportunity Laws and the BMP Office Database. *Meet regularly with site-based staff to prioritize worksite development needs, discuss worksite allocations and receive feedback on the effectiveness of assigned worksites. *Participate in unit planning meetings, monthly site-based support meetings and other centrally sponsored meetings (i.e., Quarterly Administrators meetings, Site Supervisors meetings, etc.) *Compose monthly narrative and statistical reports based on worksite development, field visits and other programmatic related activities. *Assist in development of special projects when needed (i.e., Worksites Forums).Salary:$40,000-$45,000 Core Competencies/Qualifications: Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skills. Must be able to demonstrate strong organizational skills and possess the ability to work on a team. Computer proficiency must include Microsoft Office and Internet Research. Candidate must have a Bachelors Degree with a minimum of three years full-time experience in social service or not-for-profit organizations.
