Description
Overall technical support for HP managed print services.
Provide technology consulting to external customer and internal project teams. Responsible for providing technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customer’s business needs and, consequently, for understanding customer’s businesses. As trusted advisor create and maintain effective customer relationships so as to insure customer satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of leading edge technologies and industry/market domain knowledge. Actively contribute to HP’s solutions portfolio by providing information ranging from technical knowledge to methodologies based on experience gained from customer projects. Shape technical direction and technical strategies within the organization and for external customers. . Works to ensure proper integration of technical components (i.e. IPG products and solutions) within an MPS implementation. . Works with the customer to properly plan for the Discovery and Design effort, as well as IT planning for implementation activities. . Responsible for performing Discovery and Design activities associated with an MPS implementation. . Inventories, maps, and tracks all customer printing devices that are in scope of a customer agreement. . Analyzes customer output data and converts data into fleet design recommendations; participates in creating future-state designs. . Installs, configures, operates, and troubleshoots IPG products and solutions (i.e. WJA and DSS). . Consults with the customer on print driver management. . Provides initial troubleshooting for device issues during installation, and escalates device issues as appropriate to maintain customer satisfaction; tracks all escalated problems to ensure timely resolution. . Assists customers in the use of IPG products. . Collects manual page counts from HP and third-party devices as required. . Conducts Ad-hock interviews with customer users on workflow and use of imaging and printing equipment. . Conducts formal focus interviewing from a script to capture workflow and special printing needs or business requirements. . Develop formal focus interview scripts specific to customer’s environment and MPS contractual agreements. . Directs the efforts of one or more External Temporary Workers (ETWs) assuring their work meets quality assurance standards. . Demonstrates Time Management techniques. . Develops and delivers customer presentations. . Creates clear concise written Demonstrates problem prevention and problem solving techniques. . Develops strong teamwork: e.g. customer, partner, internal hp. . Develops excellent customer relationships. . Helps to mentor less-experienced TCs. . Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. . Applies subject matter knowledge to business issues, and is regarded as a subject matter expert. . Exercises independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. . Acts as a team lead and/or team member on large/complex implementations; acts independently on large complex projects and implementations.

Qualifications
Musts: * A Bachelors degree and 4 years experience in hardcopy and technical fields, a Masters and 2 years of experience or equivalent experience. * Excellent communications and strong interpersonal skills. * Strong writing skills and presentation skills. * Consulting skills. * Project management skills. * Troubleshooting / support experience. * Thrive working in small teams on fast-paced projects in a fast changing business. * Enjoy travel (50%%). * Are innovative and resourceful. * Can work independently out of local office with remote manager. * Independently introduces new ideas and solutions or takes independent actions to address critical business requirements. * Uses knowledge and technical expertise to position different technologies relative to the clients needs. * Network printing (TCP/IP networking knowledge). * Web JetAdmin Training. * Experienced UNIX system administration. * Able to program at an informal scripting level to allow tools to work together (using basic constructs using tool commands available in UNIX environments * Knowledge of viewing technology. * Knowledge of mainframe data center printing processes. * Novell knowledge. * MS/NT OS knowledge.
