For more information on Health Net, Inc., please visit the company’s Web site atwww.healthnet.com THE POSITION CAN BE LOCATED IN EITHER NEW YORK CITY, NY OR RANCHO CORDOVA, CA JOB SUMMARY: The position is accountable for contracting qualified practitioners to provide direct counseling services to military members and their family members on-site at military installations within the United States and overseas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Identify and contract with practitioners to provide behavioral services in their practice locations. * Oversee contracts used for Department of Defense team. Coordinate legal review as required by DOD requirements. * Oversee completion of contracts and associated materials for all DOD team members. * Maintain current listing of the status of all contracting activities. * Identify issues impacting the success of contracting for DOD teams and propose solutions to DOD project staff. * Identify and address possible provider contractual infractions. * Provide training assistance and support to PR Representatives. * Educate practitioners regarding compliance of contractual obligations. * Participate in intradepartmental process improvement. * Provide reports to management on contracting assignments and other special projects.

Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: Education: BA degree or related experience Experience: * Previous contracting experience preferably with health care providers required * Previous experience in provider relations or working with government programs preferred * Managed behavioral health care experience preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and database applications * Ability to evaluate administrative policies and procedures * Effective verbal and written communication skills * Proven ability to present professionally to other departments and providers * Excellent organization and prioritization skills * Strong internet research skills * Familiarity with contracts and third party arrangements * Excellent analytical skills * Project management experience preferred * Sales communication skills preferred OR Any combination of academic education, professional training or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
