Primary Responsibilities: * Provide new business sales support for functions related to new business/pre-sales activity. * Scrub all new business submissions. * Communicate/obtain missing information to broker. * Submit group to Underwriting upon receipt of all required information. * Analyze case information and perform initial field underwriting on certain size cases as appropriate. * Submit cases to manual rating on certain size cases as appropriate. * Requests & GEO Access reports for certain size cases as appropriate. * Submit group to Case Installation upon receipt of Underwriting approval. * Communicate group number & effective date to broker. * Answer case specific questions from brokers/clients concerning new group submission. * Update sales tracking systems with case information during presale process as defined. * Create new business file. * Provide new business process subject matter expertise. * Ownership of determining appropriate rate increases/trend have been entered in Prime. * Work with Prime rating team and /or Underwriting to ensure rating accuracy in the system. * Facilitate changes in field office broker database. * Answer case specific questions for brokers. * Take all incoming phone calls pertaining to the installation of small business and resolve any new business quote or installation problems posed from the brokers or customer groups. * Direct on-going service issues that arise in the small business market (i.e. billing and claims research, resolving medical, mental health and prescription issues) to the proper service line or appropriate department. * Process all new incoming health care business. * Provide various open enrollment and eligibility support tasks. * Routine Enforce, Renewal, Fulfillment, Contracting and Administration support. * Generate proposal for medical and ancillary products. * Fax proposals to agents. * Projects as assigned. * Assist in coordinating broker certification program.

Qualifications Qualifications: * 2 years minimum experience in sales support/operations required. * Possess expertise in all major and secondary tasks, has frequent interaction with external brokers and/or agencies and conducts troubleshooting and training functions associated with job related tasks. * High School Diploma or equivalent, College Degree preferred. * Prior experience in healthcare industry preferred. * Excellent understanding of sales processes and products offered by UHC. * Fully experienced in representative major tasks in order to troubleshoot and train peers. * Excellent word processing and computer skills: Microsoft Word, Lotus, Excel and Access helpful. * Keyboarding skills in accordance with work volume and quality requirements. * Demonstrate customer service skills in a professional business environment. * Process and operational oriented. * Systems oriented. * Focused on results, organized and analytical thinker. * Extremely detail-oriented. * Ability to organize and prioritize work. * Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. * Ability to handle high stress situations and tight deadlines.
