General Description: Postdoctoral Fellowship Queens College of the City University of New York A Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship is available in the laboratory of Professor Azriel Genack at Queens College of the City University of New York. The position involves optical and microwave studies of wave propagation and localization in random and nearly periodic structures. Optical research will involve an investigation of a photon delocalization crossover between one and three dimensions in layered samples. Microwave research will involve measurements of transmitted speckle patterns to explore the impact of the underlying electromagnetic modes upon wave propagation and localization. Applicants should have proven research ability, evidence of research potential, and demonstrated written and oral communication skills. In addition, applicants should be skilled in the use of lasers and should have expertise in data analysis.
