Description: Location(s) US - New York - New York City Title *Resource Manager II (Residency Practice) Requisition ID 31336BR Job Description Coordinates, plans, and schedules delivery resources within the defined Solutions Practice. Works with the Practice and Program Delivery team(s) to assign proper and effective delivery resources for projects. Works through Management to identify delivery partner resource needs to ensure resource availability. Provides input to the development of resource staffing needs and forecasts for current and incoming projects. Uses sound judgement, application of general business principles and demonstrates initiative in carrying out assigned duties. Achieves a high degree of familiarity with and knowledge of field/headquarters policies and procedures. Assists in developing effective resource sharing processes within the Division to drive goal attainment. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Identifies resource requirements with Management based on related project scheduling and achievement of utilization target and pipeline. Tracks all current and incoming delivery resource requirements and works with Management to prioritize fulfillment. Identifies and assigns available resources based on needed expertise and customer dynamics to participate on pre and post-sales activities. Builds and maintains relationships with Senior Management to ask for and receive timely information that is needed for handing resource requirements in an efficient manner. Works with Practice Managers and Team Leads to assign delivery resources to projects in assigned area/practice. Manages "bench time" for consultants in between engagements or during remaining available time. Assists management team in maintaining optimal margin by fulfilling delivery project resource requirements while adhering to internal and partner utilization forecasts. Maintains a current information source of area/practice resource skillsets, availability, schedules, and delivery restrictions to assist in rapid identification and fulfillment of delivery resources. Partners with other Resource Coordinators to source and share additional delivery resources across for effective resource utilization. Collaborates in the development of processes and systems to track, identify, task and plan delivery resources for project work. May assists recruiters in pairing current staff with candidates for interviews or technical screens, identifying those with the appropriate skills and availability. May participate in interviews to ensure quality conversation, consistency of hires, selection rigor. Assists recruiter in building relationships with external vendors to help identify coming needs and trends in technology. Provides staffing and skillset forecast information to Management. Prepares, maintains and submits activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports in accordance with published procedures. Considers technical training needs of consulting staff when making staffing assignments for gaining on-the-job learning when the engagement environment permits and works with Management to help identify consultants for training, considering project schedules, skills gap, and upcoming assignments. Develops and cultivates strong internal customer relationships. SKILLS Ability to lead, motivate and direct a workgroup. Ability to manage in a matrix environment.
