General Description: The Program Director of the CUNY Campaign Against Diabetes will be responsible for working with the Principal Investigators to oversee and coordinate all aspects of the campaign. This includes, but is not limited to, supervising research projects, managing the budget, hiring and supervising interns, program development and student workshops. The program director will also be responsible for developing, marketing and implementing a comprehensive diabetes education program for those diagnosed with type 2 and pre-diabetes, training and supervision of staff, precepting students, and staffing the advisory board which oversees the operation of the diabetes education programs at the university. The Program Director reports to the Principal Investigator. Other Duties: The Program Director will ensure that all CUNY-related diabetes projects are coordinated and serve as the CUNY Campaign Against Diabetes liaison with the Chancellors Task force on Diabetes and the diabetes action teams on participating CUNY campuses.Salary:$52,000-65,000 Core Competencies/Qualifications: Qualifications: ? Masters Degree in Nutrition, Nursing or Public Health; some doctoral level work highly desirable ? Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Nurse (RN) ? Minimum of five years experience in managing chronic disease programs in varied settings ? Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) ? Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) Position will remain open until filled.
