General Description: Research assistant in biochemistry/molecular biology lab at York College/CUNY. All routine lab maintenance. Tissue culture, recombinant DNA technology, site-specific mutagenesis, protein expression and affinity purification. Enzyme reaction kinetics. Other Duties: Data analysis including quality control. Maintaining a detailed & accurate lab notebook. Preparation of figures for poster presentation and publication.Salary:$25,000 - $35,000 Core Competencies/Qualifications: BS required in Biochemistry or related field; higher degree preferred. Research experience required. Strong professional/academic interest in biochemistry/molecular biology research. Excellent writing and analytical skills.
