Honeywell Access Systems is a leading provider of cost-effective access control solutions for commercial, industrial, government and institutional customers worldwide. We offer a competitive portfolio of innovative access control products and support services that help companies secure their valuable assets and protect their profitability. We currently have an opportunity available for an experienced field technical support manager for Honeywell Integrated Security products covering the Northeast territory, which includes Maine,Vermont,New Hampshire,Massachusetts,Rhode Island,Connectticut,New York,Toronto,and Ottawa. Applicants must live within in the territory, in close proximity to a metropolitan airport. Responsibilities Include: * Field support to include site system setup, demonstrations, training, and product testing. Maintain/develop dealer relationships through on-going office visits and training, while ensuring growth of business. * Work with Technical Coordinator in maintaining product status list and testing of new product releases for features/issues to be reported prior to release. Duplicate and TEXT-ALIGN: justify"Partner with dealers and field personnel to fulfill customer specific requests as related to product functionality and reporting needs (customized Crystal Reports) at the direction of management. * "Go to" resource for product and dealer related issues. Maintain open communications of field reported issues and provide training and backup support for inside technical support staff. * Review project scope and living Coordinate with regional teams to insure project deadlines and customer expectations are met or exceeded. * Maintain site/project status logs and trip reports detailing site visits or support calls and update regional project teams. * Attend trade shows throughout the year, demonstrating products/systems with sales personnel.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications * A four-year degree or comprehensive electronics training, preferably in the security environment. * Minimum of 5 years experience in project management, install, design and troubleshooting of access control and video security equipment. * Minimum of 2 years experience in sales or sales support. Additional Qualifications * Network and operating system training including: DOS, Windows 95/98, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Server 2003, andWindows XP. * Knowledge of use and concept of relational databases. * Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills with sound decision making abilities in fast-paced, deadline driven environments. * Must have clear, concise presentation/training skills for effective demonstration to accomodate variety of audience skill levels. * Position requires a home office and a valid drivers license with a clean driving record. * MCSE a definite plus! * Position requires up to 75%% travel.
