Description: 506710 MetLife, a leading provider of insurance and other financial services to individual and institutional customers, is seeking a Regional Sales Specialist Manager in New York, NY!

The Regional Sales Support Manager will be responsible for managing the Regional Sales Support Specialists and the Regional Sales Coordinators, as well as support their assigned sales teams) through the sales lifecycle. This position will be responsible for managing workflow and managing sales support/administrative responsibilities in the local field office within the region.

Major Duties and Functions Include: * Manage the day to day operations of a team of remote RSSs and RSCs. Provides overall leadership/direction to the team, as well as workload balancing in the office/region * Provide leadership, direction and support for implementation of units objectives, performance management, and the regions business plan * Oversee the support for assigned sales teams with block of business by preparing for strategic customer meetings, broker appointments, and finalist presentations * Act as a resource to Regional Sales Specialist and Regional Sales Coordinators and Sales teams for process, product, and industry knowledge * Partner with Small Market Field Operations, Sales, as well as Customer Service Center leadership to effectively drive favorable business results by creating guidelines for consistent work flow and processes * Manage controllable office expenses and ensure timely payment of monthly invoices * Oversee sales and service responsibilities and proposal production * Select, train, develop, supervise and motivate regional sales support staff to provide excellent service * Manage regional sales support team to ensure that there is complete and accurate data in sales radar, sales alert processing for newly assigned cases * Active involvement in new case implementations, management of customer expectations throughout the implementation process in conjunction with the CSC * Identify individual and team training opportunities and partner with Learning and Development to facilitate appropriate training What You Need to Succeed:

* Thorough understanding of group insurance products and their contracts; including Group Life, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability and Dental products * L& H license * Strong leadership and teambuilding skills * Ability to make business decisions and customer commitments independently and on the spot * Must have strong people management skills * Demonstrated strength in operational management and process management * Ability to excel in problem identification and solving * Willingness to promptly respond to a customer-s need via phone, fax, email or written communication * Demonstrated multi-tasking, organizational and prioritization skills are a must * Ability to analyze operational problems at a regional level and create solutions by partnering with sales management in each location * Bachelors Degree preferred
