Description Description: Join the HP Personal Systems Group (PSG) field-based presales team with a focus on driving the success of all PSG products and solutions, including desktops, notebooks, workstations, handhelds, thin clients, PC blades, workstation blades, retail POS solutions and others. You will play a key role in qualifying sales opportunities, providing product demonstrations, assisting with RFP’s, and helping our customers understand the technical capabilities of these products and solutions in your defined territory. Responsibilities Include: * work with assigned sales specialists in the pursuit of new business * engage in opportunities requiring an in-depth understanding of PSG solutions, such as manageability and deployment, image development, security, thin clients, wireless, workstation technologies, and retail solutions * help achieve revenue targets in assigned accounts/territory * work closely with PSG sales account team members to achieve objectives * provide recommendations, direction and guidance to our customers on PSG technologies * spend significant percentage of time directly with customers, interfacing at all levels (including CxO-level) and facilitating discussions within the customer organization * work with customers on product and solution evaluations to ensure positive customer experience Required Attributes: * applies advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business and technical issues, and is regarded as a subject matter expert * frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods * leads and/or provides expertise to sales and presales teams * acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and policy creation * strong organizational skills and detail oriented * works on problems/projects of diverse complexity and scope * exercises significant independent judgment in achieving objectives * demonstrates ability to stay focused on goals and objectives * exhibits technical and ROI/TCO knowledge of product offerings * manifests a willingness/ability to travel within assigned territory * shows an ability to operate with minimal tactical direction * self-motivated, aggressive, competitive and goal oriented * demonstrates high energy drive to assist with closing business and exceed assigned sales goals * has strong presentation, sales, negotiation and influencing skills * organized and has track record of working effectively on a team

Qualifications Required Experience: * experience with the presales, or related, role * related work results, including consistent achievement of quota, diversity of businesses and customers, and higher level customer interface * requires knowledge of key customer types on assigned products * at least 3 years of experience as referenced above
